Dear REIBC Members,
I am pleased to be writing to you today on behalf of the Board of Governors with this update on the Institute’s transition to a new Executive Officer. With the support of Harbour West Consulting, the EO Hiring Task Force has completed the search for a new EO.
Christopher Hamade has been hired for the position of Executive Officer of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia effective March 16, 2023. There will be a two-week overlap with Brenda Southam to facilitate a smooth transition.
Christopher is a professional advisor and real estate entrepreneur. He is currently a Consultant with the Real Estate Institute of BC and the Principal of the Alchemy Agency Ltd, providing clients with strategies to improve financial performance and high-level strategy. Christopher serves on the board of the Coastal Eden Café, Whole Way House, and Coastal Church. He has his Bachelor of Commerce from Western University and is an active sector leader with the American Society of Association Executives, the Events Industry Council, and is an Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Capilano University’s School of Business.
We are very excited to welcome Chris aboard and look forward to working with him.
I would also like to thank the EO Hiring Task Force members: Governors Keith MacLean-Talbot, Geoff Radtke and Tina Lee along with Past Presidents Daniel John and Susan Antoniali for their time, attention and commitment to the Task Force and for ensuring a successful conclusion to this endeavour.
