RI Awards - Kelowna, BC!

We are thrilled to announce the finalists for the RI Awards in the prestigious categories of Emerging Leader and Ingenuity. This year, the competition was fierce, and we are proud to highlight the extraordinary talents and achievements of these outstanding individuals.

In the category of Emerging Leader, we are honoured to recognize Catherine MacKinnon, Damien Roussin, and John McCarthy. These finalists have demonstrated exceptional qualities, innovative thinking, and a commitment to making a significant impact in their respective fields.

For the category of Ingenuity, we are delighted to spotlight Ellen Hsu and Tiffany Simmons. These individuals have shown remarkable creativity and resourcefulness, pioneering new ideas and solutions that push the boundaries of conventional thinking.

Lydia Hwitsum, a member of the Quw'utsun Nation, has been a prominent advocate for Indigenous and human rights at local, national, and international levels. With 30 years of leadership experience, she has held various roles within her community Lydia is known for her bridge-building efforts, including co-chairing the Cowichan Watershed Board, and she is guided by Cowichan values and teachings.
