Metro Vancouver is regulating wood burning fireplaces and stoves in some neighbourhoods to reduce pollution. The use of wood for heating or cooking will be banned from May 15 to September 15 each year. Beginning September 2022, Metro Vancouver residents within the urban containment boundaries must register their wood burning appliances. Read more about this here.
