Passive House Canada is planning a one-day conference on November 20th, 2019 in Vancouver to discuss low-energy buildings. While much of the current focus with Step Code and Passive House has been on the technical side of things, we can sometimes lose perspective from the wider market trends. Passive House Canada is looking for someone in the real estate industry to participate in a moderated panel discussion and provide a “reality check” with their insight on if and how low energy construction is perceived at the consumer level. The session description is below:

Session 6 - Market Reaction – 60min, 1 Panel Discussion.
The conversation around low-energy buildings is often technically focused; however, we cannot be disconnected from the wider social and economic implications. (Panel Participants TBC) will discuss low-energy building construction and its knock-on effects on other industries, from real estate to low income housing to banking to insurance. The session will be moderated by Morgan McDonald of Ledcor Renew.

If you or someone else you know is able to participate in this, Passive House Canada would love to have them. If you have any questions or wish to discuss, you can contact Neil Norris at: neil.norris@passivehousecanada.com
