Week of January 19-23, 2026
Greetings REIBC Members!
We wanted to draw your attention to our 2026 Webinar Series comensing on Wednesday January 28th at 12pm via zoom. L. Maynard Harry will be discussing Indigenous Engagement focusing on the intersection of land use, real estate, and Indigenous Nations. L. Maynard has worked in the Indigenous economic/business development space for many years, in multiple capacities and truly understands the massive distinctions between Indian Reserve economies when compared to those within cities, towns, municipalities and provinces. His in-depth knowledge of the history and culture of Aboriginal peoples, their traditional land and resource practices and archaeological footprint comes from years of working closely with traditional land and resource use experts and Elders.

Member Spotlight - Lauren Robinson, RI

Lauren began her real estate career in 2014 with Normac Appraisals before joining BC Assessment in 2016 as a Property Information Collector. Within a few months, she transitioned into an Appraiser role, focusing on residential valuation work—first in the Tri‑Cities and later in the Sea to Sky region. Most recently, she has taken on responsibility for Specialized Cost properties across the Lower Mainland. Motivated by the industry’s constant evolution and her desire to learn from peers in the REIBC community, Lauren earned her RI Designation in July 2025, viewing it as an opportunity for continued professional growth. Outside of work, she and her husband enjoy spending time at their family cabin, and she stays active through soccer and, more recently, pickleball.
Would you like to be featured in our Member Spotlight? We would love to share your story and showcase how earning your RI designation has shaped your career and contributions to the industry. Email us at info@reibc.org to be considered for an upcoming feature!
Know someone who would make a great RI member?
If there is a colleague or emerging professional in your network who would benefit from the opportunities, resources, and recognition that REIBC offers, we encourage you to recommend them for membership.
For more information or to refer a potential candidate, please contact us at info@reibc.org. We would be pleased to connect and provide details on how they can become part of our growing professional community.
