Member Spotlight - Jordan Butler, MBA, MSc.IB, PGCV, RI
Jordan has been a member of the Real Estate Institute of British Columbia (REIBC) since 2025. He joined BC Assessment in 2022 as an ICI Appraiser in the Nanaimo office. Prior to this role, Jordan spent over a decade in the natural resource sector, where he focused on investment analysis and served as an executive of several publicly traded companies.
At BC Assessment, Jordan has been involved in the assessment of complex property types, including self-storage facilities, strata accommodation properties, and fast-food properties, in addition to a broad range of commercial, retail, and industrial assets. He has also served as an Expert Witness before the Property Assessment Appeal Board for these property types.
Jordan is actively involved in the local baseball community, coaching his two sons’ teams (ages 9 and 11). He is also the founder of an off-season youth baseball development club that operates on a not-for-profit basis.
Outside of work and youth sports, Jordan enjoys boating throughout the Southern Gulf Islands.
He joined REIBC to further his professional development and to build and enrich a strong real estate network across British Columbia.
