A Message from your Board
As we begin the 2026–2027 Board year, I wanted to take a moment to share an update from your Board of Governors and highlight some of the work taking place on behalf of our members.
Your Board of Governors recently gathered in Parksville, BC, for our annual Board Meeting, bringing together both returning and newly elected Governors for several days of governance, strategic planning, and collaboration.
This meeting provided an excellent opportunity to welcome our newest Board members Kim Wagner, RI, Julie Escalante, RI, and Diana Dickey, RI, while also recognizing the dedicated service and contributions of our departing Governors, Geoff Radtke, RI, Umesh Chand, RI and Tine Lee, RI. Their commitment to REIBC has been greatly appreciated, and we thank them for the leadership they have provided over the years.
During our time together, the Board participated in governance training focused on the lifecycle of organizations, succession planning, Board leadership, and the important role Governors play in supporting the long-term success of the Institute. We also discussed the opportunities ahead as we continue to strengthen REIBC and deliver value to our members across British Columbia.
The Board is energized by the year ahead and remains committed to advancing the Institute's strategic priorities, supporting our members, and strengthening the real estate profession throughout the province.
