2026_Fall_Banners/New Fall Sept 21

Greetings REIBC Members,

Welcome to fall! As we step into a new season of learning, connection, and collaboration, we’re excited to share what’s ahead. From upcoming events and industry insights to member highlights and professional opportunities, there’s plenty to explore in this week’s update!

Real Estate 360° - Building the Future of BC Real Estate

Session Highlight:

  • How Utilities, Municipalities and Developers Can Create Growth Through Strategic Infrastructure Investment

Speakers:

  • Graham Carter, B.Eng., RI - Founding Partner, Maven Consulting Ltd.
  • Doug Gilchrist, RI - City Manager, City of Kelowna
  • Evan Allegretto - President, Intracorp Homes

For decades, growth has been viewed as the driver of infrastructure investment. History shows that some of British Columbia's most successful growth corridors emerged where governments and utilities invested in infrastructure ahead of demand.

Communities with available power, water, wastewater, transportation and servicing capacity are attracting investment, accelerating housing delivery, and supporting economic development. This panel brings together utility leaders, municipal decision-makers, and developers to explore how strategic infrastructure investment can create certainty, unlock development potential, and position regions for long-term success.
