This position is located in Victoria. Flexible work options are available; this position may be able to work up to two (2) days at home per week subject to an approved telework agreement.
Employees of the BC Public Service must be located in BC at the time of employment.
Land Acquisition Coordinator
$62,255.85 - $70,557.73 annually
The primary responsibility of the Forest Land Acquisition Group is to provide exclusive, centralized provincial administration of the Ministry of Forests' property and right-of-way acquisition, forest land acquisitions and property management, including lease negotiation and administration.
The Land Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for negotiating the less complicated aspects of new lease and license agreements, as well as the renewal of existing agreements and the administration of leases, licenses and right-of-way agreements throughout their negotiated terms. It serves as the business area expert for program area information systems, providing key insight into the functions and requirements of the unit.

Qualifications / Required Skills
Qualifications for this role include:
• Degree in Urban Land Economics, Geography, Planning, Natural Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Law or related discipline, plus a minimum of three (3) years of experience conducting one or more of the following: real estate/land administration, legal assistant, database management, office management or property negotiations; OR
• Diploma in Urban Land Economics, Geography, Planning, Natural Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, or a related discipline plus a minimum of five (5) years of experience conducting one or more of the following: real estate/land administration, legal assistant, database management, office management or property negotiations; OR
• Registered or eligible to register with a professional designation in Certified Project Management (CPM), Real Estate Institute of British Columbia RI(BC), or Senior Right of Way Professional (SRWA) or their equivalent with a minimum of two (2) years related real estate experience.
Salary: $62,255.85 - $70,557.73 annually
