Director, Strategic Initiatives

Salary $87,600.00 – $114,100.00 annually

The purpose of this position is to provide strategic leasing advice to stakeholders (Customers, Client Relation Directors, Real Property Division and the Leasing Department on significant leasing transactions as well as providing support and advice to the Lease Director. This position provides authoritative advice, interpretation and/or consultation services while leading a team of specialists who provide professional expertise in the delivery of services specific to the area of specialty.

The Director, Strategic Initiatives role encompasses developing negotiation strategies and approaches that will lead to successful agreement conclusions; acting as a communications liaison with and between the Vancouver Office and Victoria; and providing leadership in project planning and delivery in accordance with approved scope, schedule and budget.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications for this role include:

• Related university degree (e.g. Business), diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of Real Estate Brokerage, (B.C.), C.C.I.M., F.R.I or A.L.O.
• Minimum 10 years’ experience in commercial real estate leasing and sales
• Demonstrated real estate development experience.
• Experience in consultative nature in business development, real estate or accommodation services.
• Experience related to the area of specialty.
• Experience leading and resolving complex issues, both staff and client.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients in a customer service environment.
