Land Operations Coordinator
$66,557.72 - $75,884.38 annually

The Properties and Land Management Branch (the Branch) is responsible for over 5,000 land and water parcels held by the BC Transportation Financing Authority (BCTFA), which is a Provincial Crown corporation. The Branch holds and manages lands acquired primarily for transportation purposes.

The Land Operations Coordinator is responsible for the Branch’s province-wide land tenure program by developing and implementing administrative policies, procedures, and systems to ensure consistent and efficient decision-making regarding the tenure management of over $1.5 billion in land and property assets. Additionally, the position administers 43 ferry terminal leases, 7 former rail corridors and participates in the disposition of surplus property holdings.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications for this role include:

• Degree in Urban Planning, Geography, Business, Commerce, Law or Public Administration; OR
• Diploma in Urban Land Economics or an equivalent level of formal post-secondary education.
• A valid BC Driver’s Licence (Class 5 or higher).
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a real property (or related) field.
• Experience in commercial lease management including negotiation and contract drafting.
• Experience developing, managing, and tracking revenue as well as forecasting expenditures.
• Experience referencing, interpreting, and applying regulatory instruments.
