DESCRIPTION:The COVID-19 pandemic has disrupted the economic foundation o
 f businesses and services. It is not like past shocks and the pathway to
  recovery will be different. This webinar will discuss how different sec
 tors in Northern BC are being impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic, what fa
 ctors will affect the pathway to recovery and what opportunities and cha
 llenges may lay ahead.\n\n \n\nSusan Mowbray\n\nPartner, Economics and 
 Research\n\nSusan is a Partner in MNP’s Consulting Group and leads the
  Economics and Research Practice. She has more than 20 years of experien
 ce in economic modelling and applying economic analysis in a variety of 
 contexts and 15 years of experience in project management. Susan’s wor
 k has included assignments for public sector organizations, industry ass
 ociations and private companies and has spanned a wide range of industri
 es. She has extensive experience working with clients involved in the aq
 uaculture, transportation, healthcare, non-profit, utilities, education,
  manufacturing and automotive sectors.\n\nSusan has a deep understanding
  of the regional nature of BC’s economy and the factors that affect No
 rthern BC. She is the lead author of Northern Development Initiative Tru
 st’s  State of the North report and has worked on a number of project
 s related to economic development in the area including the development 
 of economic indicators for economic development agencies, the assessment
  of the economic impacts of proposed developments, labour market assessm
 ents and periodic updates to the data used for the community profiles on
  the Trade and Invest British Columbia website.\n\nSusan holds a MA in E
 conomics from Simon Fraser University, has taught in the School of Busin
 ess at BCIT and is a member of the Association of Professional Economist
 s of BC.\n\n \n\nReal Estate Institute of BC (REIBC) acknowledges the s
