Charlotte Ciok is officially a granny now! Upon request, she sent us the following email “The baby boys were 5.4 lbs and 5.7 lbs, Andrew and Owen Wheeler. They were just over 4 weeks premature. All is well for everyone except Andrew was born with what is called a wet lung, so he needs help with breathing for a while. Appears to be quite normal in premmies. So he will be in the hospital a little bit longer. So that’s the story for now. And we are all very excited! “ Congratulations Charlotte!

On a sunny day in March, on a beautiful beach in Maui, Nancy Peterson (Chapter Chair for Nanaimo) married her long time sweetheart Robert. Congratulations to the new Mrs. Nancy Skeels!
EVENTS
North Fraser Movie Night
It was a great evening which started out in the VIP lounge of the Silver City Coquitlam.
As the guests arrived there were sparkly gift boxes and bags and appetizers on the table, and that opened up to introductions and networking.
Dorin Danci gave a recap on the assessment roll. Guests comments were that the information was very interesting and I was told gave important information for them to do their work for 2013. (We really appreciate Dorin working in a difficult setting).
As we gathered some water and popcorn for the movie the thank you gifts were given out by birth months.
They included a variety of things like the book “The Great Gatsby” and “solar lamp”, gift cards A&W, Subway, and Bon Appetit.
The card read; ”Thank you for joining the evening with North Fraser Chapter REIBC group showing of the “Great Gatsby”.
We as your Chapter Board are always looking for ways to get together and provide interesting events to network and bring value to RI membership.
Contact membership services of RI, or just give us a quick call. Susan Antoniali, RI, CPM 604.968.2996, Tina Lee, RI, CRA 604.671.3535, Chris La.
The movie was very entertaining and interesting in 3D and the evening ended around 9:30.
Comments; “that this should be an annual event but maybe move it to a later time to network more and enjoy the evening longer.”

Langara Night
On Thursday, May 2, 2013 Langara College held their annual Career in Real Estate Night. The college lets people know that they are holding the event and REIBC asks members to speak. This year the professions were Appraisal, Property Management, Residential Sales, and Commercial Sales & Leasing. Our speakers respectively were, Kelvin Coley-Donahue, Luanne Albino, Bryan Furman and Fiona Chiu. There were about 30 people in attendance and it was a great event. Thank you to John Neuls for inviting us to attend.
We were advised at the event that the students at Langara have started a Real Estate Club and we look forward to working with them in the future.
The event went over very well and John has asked us to do it again in January.

Front: (L - R) Bryan Furman, Kelvin Coley-Donahue. Back: (L - R)Fiona Chui and Luanne Albino.
