BCIT Meet the Pros - Commercial

In continuation of the last year's BCIT Meet the Pros - Residential, BCIT's REA (Real Estate Association) held the Meet the Pros - Commercial on February 20, 2014. This one on one event gave students an opportunity to speak and ask questions to professionals regarding commercial real estate.

Professionals who were present at the event were REIBC President Mandy Hansen of Insight Specialty Consulting, Andrea Fletcher, NU-Westech Engineering, Troy Abromaitis, Bucci Developments, Tom Garvey, Century 21 in Town Realty, David Nishi-Beckingham, AEC - Property Tax and Clayton Olson, BC Assessment. We thank the professionals for taking the time to come speak to the students.

This is the last Meet the Pros for some of our 2nd year students. We wish them all of the best as they begin to plant their feet firmly in the profession and hope that they continue to stay in touch!

UBC Meet the Pros

"On Thursday March 27th, the UBC Real Estate Club had the great pleasure of co-hosting a social networking event with REIBC. Conveniently held on campus, with great food and great people, the event was a fantastic experience for all students involved. Students constantly seek out the opportunity to meet industry professionals and expand their professional networks, while at school. The staff of REIBC went above and beyond bringing together a diverse group of industry professionals, creating a setting where students could freely mingle and connect with everyone in the room. As the director of a student- run club, I can say it is not often that interactions with organizations external to the school are met with such enthusiasm and genuine desire to help. I am extremely grateful for the staff and professional members of REIBC that made the social night possible. Their continued effort to meet students and pass along experience represents a special gold standard of professionalism and recognition of the importance in passing on knowledge and advice to the aspiring professionals of tomorrow.

On behalf of my school and my club, my sincerest thanks go to REIBC and its outstanding members."
