Metro Vancouver’s commercial real estate sector has been predicted to have a full recovery in September, but the reality on the ground is not matching expectations. The BCREA Commercial Leading Indicator (CLI) has shown a fourth consecutive quarterly increase as the economy recovers. BCREA’s chief economist Brendon Ogmundson, however, warns that commercial real estate is facing a “very abnormal and uncertain environment”. Despite the optimistic predictions, the complexities of the pandemic continue to delay a full recovery. Read more about this story here.
