The Properties group is integral to the achievement of regional transportation objectives in the Region through property land acquisition, management, and disposition.
The Property Acquisition Coordinator is responsible for managing all property acquisition activities and delivery of property for projects, including resource budgeting, contract management, appraisal valuation, business valuation, land survey, road closures, expropriation, and related project management. The position leads, plans and manages property acquisition projects for fee simple, crown land, gravel pits, statutory rights of ways, temporary licenses, and easements.

Qualifications for this role include:
• Grade 12 plus Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Urban Land Economics with Appraisal Option, or professionally recognized training in business administration, management, commerce or appraisal.
• Accreditation with the Appraisal Institute of Canada (AACI) or RI(BC) Appraisal Option.
• A minimum of four years of experience in project or program management, property acquisition, survey, or negotiation; preferably in the public sector.
• Experience in planning, coordinating, and managing projects and contract services.
