Island Health is Hiring Three Capital Planners for Vancouver Island.

The Island Health Capital Planning division is a looking for three collaborative, team-based planners. The work is fast-paced with no two days alike. These leadership positions are work from home opportunities so candidates can be from different communities across the Island however, you will need an assigned designation for delivery of supplies and printing etc.

Details about what you'll be doing
Two of the positions will focus on the space planning, service planning, Capital Plan development, Capital budgets, Space Committees and Space requests for the sites within their assigned area (1-Cowichan Valley, Saanich Peninsula, Sooke Westshore & the Gulf Islands and 1- Oceanside to Northern end of Vancouver Island including outer Islands) and the other position will work in the Space Optimization, Real Estate & Leasing which is responsible for leasing and real estate, space policies, Property Management, Archibus, Space standards & metrics, Alternative Work Strategies across the Island.

Qualifications / Required Skills


EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
We are looking for someone with the equivalent to a Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration and planning, architecture or engineering, or a related/equivalent field of practice or combination of education and experience, and six (6) years progressive work experience in health services planning and project management.


SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Detailed knowledge of hospital and health facility capital planning, capital funding and construction management processes.

- Proven leadership ability and highly developed interpersonal, communication and team building skills.

- Demonstrated dedication to customer focused services and collaboration.

- Ability to integrate administrative, professional and operational aspects of the department throughout Island Health in an effective and efficient manner.

- Ability to develop and cultivate an environment where quality improvement principles are adopted and used on a continuous basis.

- Proven organizational, financial, and project management skills.

- Valid driver's license and vehicle vital as this position will be required to travel throughout the area.
