Job Description / Duties

We are seeking consultants to assist with the real estate education offerings. We welcome applications from qualified experts who may be interested in contributing to the education programs as contributors to course materials and tutors. Opportunities periodically arise, and we maintain a database of qualified and interested individuals.

Contributors to course materials: We are seeking course developers, authors, editors, and/or reviewers of course materials such as textbooks, assignments, exams, and web pages. The following areas are of particular interest:
• Green, energy efficient, and sustainable real property (residential and commercial)
• Insurance valuation
• Responding to requests for proposals / bids (RFP/RFB)
• Valuation for forced sales and distressed properties
• Urban infrastructure

Tutors: our tutors serve as the instructors for each course, carrying out the course's marking and tutoring needs. While we welcome general applications, at the moment we are particularly in need of assistance in the areas outlined below.
• BUSI 401 Commercial Property Analysis: construction and inspection
• BUSI 300 Urban and Real Estate Economics

Qualifications / Required Skills

Preferred candidates will have: appropriate post-secondary education for the subject area, professional accreditation, and a proven employment track record in the subject area. Successful applicants should be very familiar with current practices in the subject area. Teaching or similar educational experience is an asset, but is not required.
