Ryan is a demographer, economist, and Toronto Maple Leafs fan who regularly presents on population and economic change throughout BC and Alberta. His presentations are rooted in evidence-based research, with the data being brought to life through charts, graphs, and humour.

Ryan also helps to run Urban Futures’ consulting business, which serves both the private and public sector through objective analysis of trends in population dynamics, land use, and the housing market,among others.

Ryan is routinely utilized as a resource for local and provincial media outlets, and he is a regular contributor to Business in Vancouver through his Statistically Significant column. He holds an MA in Economics from UBC and is a member of the Association of Professional Economists of BC.
