Housing: What’s happening from a building perspective

Join us on November 18th from 12 noon - 1pm to hear Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC CEO, Neil Moody talk building, policy, new codes and generally what’s happening in this area of home building in BC. This will be an informative talk about the role of CHBA BC and how they see things happening province wide.
Neil Moody
Neil has led the Canadian Home Builders’ Association of BC (CHBA BC) as its CEO since August 2013. During this time, membership has grown by 62% to 2,200 member companies through its eight local affiliated home building associations. In addition, the association is the leading provider of builder education and organizes the annual Georgie Awardsâ gala that showcases housing excellence in British Columbia.
Neil brings an action-based, collaborative approach to advocacy and government relations. CHBA BC core activities include advocacy and government relations, energy efficiency programs, education, technical and building innovation and events. CHBA BC received the national award for Homebuilder Association of Year in 2020-21 and, in 2020, received the Canadian Industry Event Award for Best Event Produced by an Association, Board or Committee.
Neil is a former business owner, home builder and brings more than 20 years of association experience to CHBA BC. Previous to this role, he was the executive director for the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Japan, a position he held for 15 years before returning with his wife and two sons to his home in Vancouver.
