Private Land and Invasive Species
Local governments across BC have requested information on new policy and governance approaches to preventing and responding to invasive species. With guidance from a private land advisory committee, the Invasive Species Council of BC is developing and communicating tools and recommendations for local government, property owners, developers and realtors to help limit the impacts of invasive species on private and public property values. Join us as we explore some of the impacts associated with species such as Giant hogweed, Knotweeds, invasive ants and others and look at some of the tools available to prevent their introduction and spread.
