Bio/Background

Kim manages the administration of the assessment process, and is responsible for the production and defence of equitable actual value assessments for detached residential properties in several Lower Mainland municipalities. Kim leads a team of over 20 appraisers and property information collectors. Kim has worked for BC Assessment for 25 years. Her previous role with the organization focused on service design and delivery, training development and delivery and supporting appraisers in applying legislation and case law in their work. During her career at BC Assessment, Kim has assessed residential properties in Vancouver’s West Side neighbourhoods and commercial property in the downtown core.

Kim has been a member of the Real Estate Institute for over a decade. In addition to her RI designation, Kim has a Master of Arts in urban geography from the University of Toronto and a Diploma in urban land economics from UBC.
