Job Description / Duties

The Leasing & Portfolio Manager is responsible for managing commercial leases, filming and other licenses and special events for the Riverview Lands. Additionally, the position is responsible for promoting and leasing all other Provincial Rental Housing Corporate (PRHC) properties to film companies.

Qualifications / Required Skills

- Degree in business administration specializing in Urban Land Economics from an accredited university, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Considerable experience (5 to 7 years) in the management and administration of commercial leases and filming licenses.
- Membership in the Real Estate Institute of B.C., Real Estate Institute of Canada and/or the Appraisal Institute of Canada preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of the philosophies, principles and practices of managing commercial leases and filming licenses.
- In-depth knowledge of BC Housing’s structure and operations
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of budgets, financial statements, and accounting and financial systems
- Ability to establish and maintain constructive working relationships with clients and stakeholders, and exhibit diplomacy and tact in the resolution of issues.
- Effective communication, consultation, negotiation, conflict resolution, consensus building, client service and interpersonal skills
- Effective analytical thinking, creative problem solving and decision making skills
- Effective planning, organizational, administrative and time management skills.
- Skilled in identifying and developing business opportunities.
- Ability to identify issues early and respond quickly to address those issues.
- Strong business acumen and judgment.
