Manager, Property Services
$86,200.00 - $122,100.01 annually
Hybrid

The Ministry of Transportation and Infrastructure plans and improves transportation networks, builds new infrastructure, provides transportation services, and implements transportation policies, to allow for the safe and efficient movement of people and goods.

As the Manager, Property Services, you will manage all property acquisitions for the Southern Interior Region and be seen as the regional expert in all areas of this function. The position’s purview includes providing direction, advice and interpretation on matters relating to property acquisition, project management, litigation support, and regional standards development. You will interact with a diverse range of government officials (federal, provincial and municipal), private business representatives, and other external stakeholders including First Nations. The work environment is dynamic, high profile, and subject to project-related time constraints.

Qualifications / Required Skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in related discipline (i.e., business, commerce, public administration, geography, real estate, economics, planning, resource development or law) and a minimum of five (5) years related experience* OR
• Diploma in related discipline (i.e., business, commerce, public administration, geography, real estate, economics, planning, resource development or law) plus seven (7) years related experience*
• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
*Related Experience:
• Experience in leadership and empowering staff
• Experience in public or private sector real estate property acquisition activities including negotiations, conflict management, land transfers, tenures, development approvals or other work related to property interests
• Experience performing valuations and reviewing appraisal reports prepared by third parties; knowledge of appraisal methodology, standards and principles including different approaches to value and highest and best use analysis
• Experience interpreting and working with government legislation, policies and procedures
• Experience managing projects with complex scope and size
• Experience in interacting and providing advice and counsel to executive level management
• Experience in procuring and managing third-party consultant/contractor services

Salary: $86,200.00 - $122,100.01 annually
