REIBC needs your help with research project

posted on 3:01 PM, September 3, 2014

Are you currently or have you lived in small housing (micro-apartments, tiny house, etc.)?

Do you rent or own a home that is approximately 500 sq ft (46 sq m) or less (for 1 – 2 people) or 750 sq ft (70 sq m) or less (for a household of 3 or more)?

Please tell us about your experience, lessons, and advice!

You can be part of a study being conducted by the Real Estate Institute of BC, the Urban Development Institute, the Manufactured Housing Association of BC and BC Housing. The purpose of the study is to:

  • determine the best practices and lessons being learned about small market housing units, and
  • help inform future practice in British Columbia, with respect to liveability and design, development, building and manufacturing.

Ways you can get involved:

  • Complete our short online survey to share your experience of living in small / micro- housing at the following link: http://fluidsurveys.com/s/BC-Small-HomeSurvey-Occupant-/ or at http://bit.ly/1tmgyBe. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes.
  • Pass along this information and the survey to people you know who live in small / micro housing, and related organizations or societies.

A report summarizing our findings will be available at the end of 2014 through the project partners.

Thanks, we look forward to hearing from you!
