REIBC partners with BC Housing

The Real Estate Institute of British Columbia is pleased to announce that they will be doing a research project with BC Housing. This research will be the scoping of a registry of accessible and adaptable homes in British Columbia.

By scoping out this information, it will help lay groundwork for potentially creating a registry of accessible and adaptable housing units in BC. Adaptable and accessible housing is an emerging need as the population ages and the trend shows a growing number of seniors. Municipalities will require additional tools to help them monitor and address these changing housing needs and consumers will be able to make more informed decisions about where they live.

The research will be completed by January 2013 and we look forward to working with BC Housing on this project.

This project is generously funded by the Real Estate Foundation of British Columbia.
