Urban Design Charrette - The social, economic and ecological flows of your business location: How to make your business location more sustainable and powerfully magnetic to your market.

9:00am - 1:00pm , Thursday, November 22
This half-day workshop will be an exciting exploration of leading concepts of business location and the power of "place" that are based on both human networks as well as ecological and economic flow networks. This workshop will lead participants through an intense process of developing business place concepts that will be highly magnetic to their market and will stimulate a strategic rethinking of their business's relationships with nearby businesses with an aim of achieving greater economic and ecological performance.

 

Walkshop: Designing Cities for the New Economy

A walkshop is a "walking workshop."

2:30pm - 5:00pm , Thursday, November 22
This Walkshop will run rain or shine. Please come dressed appropriate for the weather. It will NOT be at Performance Works. External meet up location is Victoria Square in Gastown. Route options to get there will be emailed out in advance.

The purpose of this walkshop is to collaboratively explore an area of the city, to identify and learn from each other about the planning, design and dynamics of new economic spaces and places.
Only 60 spots total available for two concurrent walkshops.
