Job Description / Duties

Reporting to the Director of Real Estate and working with two other managers and a team of real estate professionals, the Manager of Real Estate is responsible for a variety of real estate activities that ensure the efficient administration, effective utilization and optimization of the port authority’s real estate assets. In this role your responsibilities will primarily include:

• Overseeing negotiation and management of a range of property agreements covering a broad spectrum of property classes (industrial, commercial, public and private utilities and recreational).
• Developing, reviewing and monitoring various departmental processes, land management, acquisition and pricing policies and strategies to ensure the Port’s real estate assets are maximized and protected.
• Developing and managing efficient administrative processes, ensuring accurate property records and timely collection of rental revenues. Preparing annual rental revenue forecasts and operating budgets.
• Coordinating departmental functions with others within the port authority to propel efficiencies and continuous improvement in processes and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.

Qualifications / Required Skills

As the ideal candidate, you have a Bachelor’s degree in commerce, real estate, business or law along with a minimum of 5 years real estate experience at a management level preferably with a focus on industrial land management. You have exceptional negotiation and problem-solving skills and a solid background in real estate analysis, leasehold administration and property management systems. Your outstanding leadership, interpersonal, analytical, and communication capabilities are coupled with a strong preference and demonstrated capability to work in a team. You are a driven strategic thinker with the ability to foster the development of staff and strong tenant relationships.
