Bio/Background

I enrolled in 2008 at Simon Fraser University in an Economics and Political Science Joint Major program, graduating in 2010 with a Bachelor of Arts degree.

Upon graduation I accepted a position with the Calgary-based land services firm, Cavalier Land Ltd. Cavalier Land was land services firm specializing in petroleum and agri-business. Prior to my hiring, Cavalier had expanded into the telecommunications industry, working with Shaw Communications, Rogers Communications and WIND Mobile. In the nearly 5 years I worked for Cavalier Land, I was engaged in all aspects of site acquisition with both private and public land owners as well as functioning as the lead representative on behalf of land owners and the clients for all municipal and regulatory engagement.

Following my time at Cavalier Land, I joined BC Hydro’s Property Rights Services (PRS) department as a Property Coordinator. As a department, PRS specializes in the management of both the existing property rights held by BC Hydro and the relationships with land owners inherent to them. I currently serve as a Property Representative in BC Hydro's Right-of-Way Management group, where we more broadly serve as the primary point of contact for all property and rights related issues within the region including but not limited to negotiating for and acquiring new rights, working with various private and public stakeholders to manage existing rights and fee owned lands, and managing any and all sources of conflict that may arise from these.
