Job Description / Duties

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Property Manager is responsible for providing advice, recommendations and required support on Company real estate transactions and other property holdings. The incumbent is responsible for cooperatively managing Company properties and assumes the lead on real estate and property purchases and sales. The role is also responsible for developing a property tax strategy, including appeals to property assessments as required.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Candidates should possess a degree in forestry or commerce and hold one or more of the following professional designations; RPF, FRI, CPM or CRF. Candidates will have a minimum of 10 years property or real estate transactional experience in the forest industry or related resource based industry. You are experienced in property assessment, taxation, conveyance documentation and have an aptitude for reviewing legal documents and the preparation of quasi legal agreements and/or contracts. Additionally, you have a good working knowledge of the forest industry and applicable provincial legislation related to the Forest Act and Land Act.
