As the leader of our highly skilled team, your key role will be the planning and coordination of activities relating to the preparation of the assessments used for taxation purposes. Your thorough knowledge of all aspects of Municipal Assessment will ensure you can provide leadership, mentoring, direction and focus to the workgroup.

Qualifications / Required Skills

As our ideal candidate, you are a top notch communicator with strong interpersonal skills that have been demonstrated both by your proven experience at successfully managing a team, as well as using the appropriate amount of judgment to provide input to proposed changes in legislation and interpreting assessment legislation to employees, City administration, members of your community and the real estate industry.

Required Qualifications:

Designation as an Accredited Municipal Assessor of Alberta (AMAA);

Certified Assessment Evaluator (CAE) or Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute (AACI);

Seven (7) years of related professional experience, including 5 years in a senior level assessment position with supervisory responsibilities;

An equivalent combination of management approved training and experience may be considered.
