Job Description / Duties

•Responsible for all matters relating to the physical aspects of a commercial property portfolio; tenant requirements; operating costs; contract negotiation and administration
•Monitor daily operations through regular property inspections
•Act as the primary point-of-contact for the commercial tenants in all matters
•Ensure tenants are aware of and understand their lease obligations
•Assist in preparing annual operating budgets and review monthly financial statements
•Establish, maintain and monitor scheduled maintenance programs
•Coordinate, schedule and monitor service repair requests
•Build and maintain strong relationships with tenants and contractors
•Obtain quotations and provide recommendations for maintaining the property

Qualifications / Required Skills

•A minimum 2 years relevant commercial property management experience
•A valid Real Estate Council of BC Rental Property Management License
•A solid understanding of commercial leases
•Excellent communications skills geared towards customer relations
•Strong financial and analytical skills: budgeting, capital planning & reporting
•Strong computer skills & proficient with Microsoft Office software
•Strong organization & efficiency skills
•High detail orientation
•A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
•Ability to travel once per month, or as the portfolio requires
•Working towards an REIC property management designation and experience with Yardi Voyager are definite assets.
•Professional Member of REIBC or working towards RI designation
