Job Description / Duties

Stober Group is a family-owned and operated property management and land development company. Founded in 1962 and located in Kelowna in the centre of the beautiful Okanagan Valley, Stober Group has established a well-deserved reputation for being one of the region’s leading companies, with a focus on development, construction, and management of commercial and residential properties. Stober Group takes a community-minded, long-term approach, operating with a ‘build and hold’ philosophy.

This is an incredible opportunity to join one of the Okanagan’s premier real estate development and property management companies. As the COO you will provide overall leadership and direction to ensure that Stober Group achieves its vision, mission, goals and objectives. Reporting directly to Stober Group’s co-CEOs, siblings Carolyn Stober and Ken Stober, as well as to an Advisory Board, you will lead a group of motivated individuals to ensure long-term growth and create an environment that promotes innovation and sustainability for generations to come.

The COO will create an organizational environment that stimulates the morale, creativity and productivity of all team members, and will provide vision, support and guidance to the leadership team. While building on the capability and competencies of the organization, the incumbent will also be an ambassador for Stober Group in the community.

The ideal candidate will bring outstanding leadership skills combined with sound knowledge of the real estate sector, ideally with a focus on development and construction. The COO will be a collaborative, entrepreneurial and humble executive, ensuring team members are engaged and focused on common goals. With the belief that a high-touch experience is paramount to customer satisfaction, the COO will lead by example, encouraging an authentic and innovative approach amongst the team in their drive to achieve personal, professional, and business goals. In addition, they will be experienced in working within a diverse stakeholder environment, building strong and lasting relationships.
