JOB DESCRIPTION
Duties:
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Properties this role is accountable for the following:
• Lead the procurement and contract management functions for services required by Site C Properties such as land surveyors, appraisers, agrologists and property management services
• Accountable for the financial forecasting and performance tracking, schedule updates, tracking and reporting, monthly reports and updates for the Site C Properties team
• Coordinate and complete due diligence related to the purchase of properties, prepare business cases and obtain senior management approval for purchases
• Establish guidelines and procedures related to crown land tenure applications, project reporting, forecasting and scheduling
• Develops strategies, policies and provides creative problem solving related to tenures and property management.
Qualifications / Required Skills
Qualifications:
• Bachelor level degree or equivalent in Urban Land Economics, Commerce, Urban Planning or Real Estate Economics or a professional accounting designation, preferably with emphasis on Real Estate management
• A minimum of 8 years’ experience in progressively more responsible project management positions focused on commercial real estate/property construction and acquisition, with an excellent demonstrated working knowledge of real estate processes
• Additional assets would include but are not limited to the following professional designations: AACI, RI(BC), SR/WA, PMP or MBA
• Well rounded knowledge of business processes, budgets, forecasting and formal project management techniques is a must
• Experience and knowledge in setting up project reporting and dashboard capabilities
• Strong project delivery and project controls experience is required
• Excellent business writing with superior attention to details as business cases are critical to our projects
• Strong people management, organization, planning, analytical and problem solving skills.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
• A condition of employment for this job is that you maintain the following requirements in good standing: Driver's License Type = Class 5
• This opportunity is for a Properties Project Manager to work within the Site C Properties team during the construction phase of the project
• Travel – expected travel to Fort St. John is approximately once every 4 months for 2-4 business days.
