The Township of Langley is the fastest growing municipality in the region. Langley Township's population grew by 12.6 % between 2011 and 2016 with the population increasing from 104,000 in 2011 to 117,000 in 2016. With growth comes challenges, such as keeping up with infrastructure needs, balancing community aspirations and meeting resident expectations. In this Webinar Ramin will provide some insights into what makes the Township of Langley such an attractive place for investors, businesses and residents.

Ramin has been with the Township of Langley working in progressively more responsible positions for the past 18 years. Ramin completed his main academic education in the United Kingdom with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.

He began his career in Canada in 1990 working initially in the private sector with the consulting industry involved with the design and construction of land development, municipal infrastructure and public-private partnership projects. He is a member in good standing with the Engineers and Geo-scientists of BC, Canadian Institute of Planners and the REIBC. 

Ramin has close to 30 years of experience in community development, planning and engineering in both the public and private sectors. In his current position, Ramin is responsible for leading a staff complement of over 300 professionals in 10 integrated departments, having a total operating and capital annual budget of approximately $250M.
