Webinar: ALC Legislation - Changes and Effects

May 30, 2019, 12:00 - 1:00 PM

There are over 4.7 million ha of Agricultural Land Reserve (ALR) in British Columbia, and over 150 BC local governments with ALR land within their boundaries. Real estate professionals have an important, collaborative role to play with the Provincial Agricultural Land Commission (ALC) to inform clients about the purpose of the ALR to preserve agricultural land and encourage farming. Join ALC staff to review the recently amended ALC legislation and find out how the changes apply to real estate professionals including changes to permitted land uses, permitted and restricted residential uses, and new application types. This session will also cover the application process for residential uses, non-farm uses, subdivision, and exclusion.
