The Leadership Pivot: How to lead through change
October 29, 2020, 12:00 - 1:00 PM
Long before Covid-19 was upon us, most people and most businesses have resisted change. But Carla Wood has always been among the bizarre minority who lean in when change comes about. Her default response to colleagues who have lost their job or been packaged out: "How exciting that you now get to reimagine what comes next!", and her well known quote of comfort as a business owner is "The worst that can happen is complete and total failure." Carla sees change as opportunity. And studies have shown that those who can shift their negative biases toward change develop resilience as individuals and in their businesses. Resilience is the key to thriving when industries shift, economies adjust, teams re-align, and even when global pandemics strike.
Join Carla as she shares insights, strategies and practical advice on how to successfully pivot as a leader in the midst of change. The most compelling aspect of this session will be exploring how the leadership pivot is primarily about strategic simplification.
