Amanda Magee

Amanda is the Senior Director, Western Canada Business Development for Stewart Title.             

Amanda joined Stewart in 2004 and has worked in the Title Insurance industry for 18 years, having been responsible for both the operational and marketing portfolios for Western Canada.

She is a licensed professional with the BC Insurance Council and proudly holds memberships with The Canadian Risk Management Association, The Insurance Institute of Canada, and the Mortgage Investment Association of BC where she currently serves on the Executive after having completed 3 consecutive terms as board President.

She has previously been a frequent speaker for various industry groups including the Association of Notaries Public of BC, The CLEBC and the Legal Education Society of Alberta providing valuable information of the topic of title insurance.

In 2019 and 2020, Amanda was honored in Canadian Real Estate Professional’s top 50 list of the most influential and successful women working in the real estate industry today.

In her free time, Amanda enjoys volunteering and spending time on the ski hill with her young family.

Brett Horton

Brett is Stewart Title’s Counsel & Director of Commercial Business Development BC.

Brett completed his undergrad in philosophy at McGill University in 1998, obtained his law degree from UBC in 2003, and was called to the British Columbia bar in 2004. Brett has had a diverse legal career working for small and medium firms along with fortune 500 companies.  Prior to joining Stewart Title in 2013, Brett operated his own law firm providing commercial and real estate legal services.

Brett is past Chair of the Canadian Bar Association’s National Real Estate Section and a current executive member. He is also the CBA’s representative on the Land Title & Survey Authority’s Stakeholder Committee and is part of the executive of the Risk Management Association’s Fraser Valley Chapter.

He has previously been involved with boards of the Mortgage Investment Association of BC, Commercial Real Estate Lenders Association, the International Blockchain Real Estate Association and the Stanley Park Ecology Society.

Brett is a frequent speaker at various real estate industry events.

In his free time, Brett enjoys outdoor activities with his kids.
