Senior Land Acquisition Officer

Salary $73,401.72 - $83,941.80 annually

The position is the Ministry expert regarding the acquisition, lease and management of properties required by the Ministry for operational purposes that support the natural resource sector. The position provides professional land acquisition and property management advice to the Ministry's executive and operational staff, as well provides leadership, direction, and supervision to the section's staff.

Qualifications / Required Skills

Qualifications for this role include:

• University degree in Urban Land Economics, Geography, Planning, Natural Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Law or other relevant discipline.
• Registered, or eligible to register within one year, with a professional designation in AACI Accredited Appraiser Canadian Institute, RI(BC) Professional member Real Estate Institute of British Columbia, or SRWA Senior Member International Right-of-Way Association or their equivalent.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience conducting interest-based property negotiations and interpreting and working with government legislation, policies and procedures.
• Preference may be given to applicants with supervisory experience.
